FANS in Belgium threw hundreds of cuddly toys onto the pitch as Christmas presents for children with disabilities.
A campaign was launched before Charleroi’s match with Oostende for supporters to bring their toys to the clash.
And it appears the message was certainly heard loud and clear as supporters from the home side covered their side of the pitch with presents.
The match finished 1-1 but the contest was completely overshadowed by the heartwarming generosity from supporters.
Kick off was even delayed as members of staff spent time collecting the huge pile of toys on top of the goal net.
Fans on Twitter had their say on the event with one saying: “Great people with good heart.”

Another wrote: “What a wonderful gesture just imagine if every football club did something like this? What a great Christmas every deserving child would have?”

Just over 12 months ago a similar initiative was launched in Holland in a match between Ado Den Haag fans and Feyenoord.
‘STADIUM OF S***E’ Sunderland fan ‘kicked out of ground after taking a poo in the stands’ during Black Cats’ 3-1 defeat to Reading
Den Haag fans were told they were sharing the away section with a group of patients from the local children’s hospital.
And they didn’t come empty handed, raining hundreds of toys down on delighted kids.
