FA Cup draw: BBC slated on Twitter for forcing fans to shake hands with rivals

Jan 29, 2018

FOOTBALL fans have slammed the BBC for the “awkward” handshakes between rival supporters during the FA Cup draw.

The broadcaster cut to shots of fans greeting each other after every tie was picked out of the hat.

Fans were asked to shake hands with their fifth round opponents

And after supporters were forced to sit through The One Show to catch the draw, some were less than pleased with the scenes.

Many took to Twitter to criticise the move as necessary as they waited to see who their teams would get.

Wigan hosting Manchester City is probably the best of the ties, which lacked blockbuster appeal in places.

Here are some of the best responses.
