Lee Bowyer…back in the old routine at CharltonPA:Press AssociationBowyer with Charlton boss Karl RobinsonPA:Press Association
Bowyer, 40, fills the void left by the recent departure of first-team coach Chris O’Loughlin.
The ex-England international, who returned to Charlton in January on a temporary basis, said: “It feels great to be asked to do this and to work alongside Karl and I’m really looking forward to it.
“It was an easy decision to make.
“We worked closely towards the end of last season so I know the ins and the outs and it’s felt a bit like a homecoming because there are a few faces who are still here from when I was a kid.
“I have a lot more experience now that I can pass onto the lads. I’ve worked under a lot of good people in my career and Charlton is where it all started, so it’s a bit of a fairytale for me.”
