FORMER Arsenal and England physio Gary Lewin has been appointed West Ham’s head of medical services.
The 53-year-old will replace Stijn Vandenbroucke, who joined the club in 2009.

Lewin spent over two decades at the Gunners before joining the Football Association to work with the Three Lions for six years.
He spent last season back at Arsenal working with their Ladies’ team as maternity cover for Mary Shiels.
His appointment at West Ham brings his career full circle after spending time on their books as goalkeeper as a schoolboy.
And he is over the moon to be heading to the London Stadium.

Lewin said: “I am really looking forward to it.
“I have met Slaven a few times down the years, most memorably when I was sat on the bench when his Croatia team beat England at Wembley in 2007 to stop us qualifying for Euro 2008!

“Despite that, I am looking forward greatly to working with Slaven and also with Julian Dicks and Chris Woods, who I know from my time in football, his other backroom staff and all the players.”
Vandenbroucke had been the club’s head of medical and sports science since February 2014.
