Everton want Lukas Nmecha from Manchester City as England youth striker is lined up for audacious move to Goodison Park

EVERTON are planning a surprise raid on Manchester City for England youth striker Lukas Nmecha.

The Goodison club think they can tempt Nmecha, 18, from City with a better chance of games as his contract runs out.

Nmecha, Manchester- born of Nigerian and German parents, has been a hit for his country and scored for City’s Under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy last Wednesday.

But Everton think Nmecha could star for them in the not-too-distant future.

The move is being planned by director of football Steve Walsh.

He may be able to pull it off as early as next month or, if not, in the summer.

Derby also fancy Nmecha, but the chance to stay in the Premier League gives Everton the edge.

Meanwhile, reports claim summer signing Sandro could be off after just six months.

The Spaniard is believed to be a loan target for La Liga high-flyers Valencia.

And further reports add that Everton could replace Sandro with Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro, who is free to leave ahead of Diego Costa’s return in January.
