Manchester United netted their 1,000th goal Premier League at Old Trafford against Everton yesterday thanks to Anthony Martial.
But Louis van Gaal and Co didn’t just bag three points as they chase a Champions League spot for next season, they also inflicted an unwanted ‘honour’ on Roberto Martinez’s Toffees.

They’re ‘bettered’ in that category by only one club — embattled Newcastle — who hit the 200 mark earlier this season.
The Toon now have 203 away losses in the Prem era under their belt.

It’s certainly not a target Martinez could have hoped to avoid this term, having started off the season on 198 losses.
Everton have only lost TWICE on their travels all season and although that record is impressive, they have lost a mammoth eight times at home.
They currently sit 12th in the Prem after an inconsistent 2015-16 season.

Favourites to join Newcastle and Everton in the dreaded 200 club are title-chasing Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs currently sit perilously poised on 199, closely followed by West Ham and Aston Villa on 195 apiece.
With only six games left — three of which on the road — only Spurs can pass the 200 mark in 2015-16.
In fact, Villa may avoid the milestone for a few years yet — as they stare relegation square in the face following a horror campaign.

There is a clear correlation between being Premier League stalwarts and away losses — as Southampton and Liverpool make up the rest of the top seven, on 175 and 166 respectively.
Beyond that there are a number of ‘yo-yo’ clubs such as Blackburn, Bolton, Middlesbrough and Fulham — as well as the league’s top achievers.
For example, Manchester United have only ever lost 96 times in the Premier League, which is a staggering feat given their longevity in the league.
Also impressing on the list are Arsenal — who have only 124 to their name — and Chelsea on 138.
