CUCO MARTINA could be on his way to Everton on a free transfer after being released by Southampton.
Former Saints boss Ronald Koeman tried to bring the 27-year-old Dutch defender to Goodison as cover last summer.

But the South Coast club refused to sanction the move.
Now they confirmed that the former FC Twente man is one of four players to be released along with Lloyd Isgrove, Harley Willard and Martin Caceres.
Koeman wants a natural right-back to deputise for long-term injury victim Seamus Coleman, with Mason Holgate’s long-term future seen in central defence.

Martina, from Rotterdam, can also play at centre back and his flexibility is viewed as a plus ahead of a busy campaign.
Some reports have suggested he has already flown to Merseyside as the Blues finalise making him their first recruit of the summer.

Martina failed to secure a regular place in Claude Puel’s team this season, making only 18 appearances in all competitions.
Puel obviously didn’t like what he saw and St Mary’s supporters didn’t either, aside from a wonder goal against Arsenal last season.
