EVERTON boss Sam Allardyce has hit out at journalists after questions were raised about his future at Goodison Park.
The former England manager has come under fire in recent weeks from a section of Toffees fans, but believes only a minority of supporters want him gone.

Speaking in today’s press conference ahead of the Merseyside derby against Liverpool, the 63-year-old was asked whether a win against the Reds would sway his critics.
Allardyce said: “Where are the doubters? Have you been looking at Twitter and Facebook? Your lives are really run by Facebook, Twitter and Instagram far too much.
“You are professional journalists. You shouldn’t listen to speculating unprofessionals which is what you are doing to get your stories.
“You create the stir, but really for me that’s only a small minority. That is what we live with. I understand it.

“When Farhad (Moshiri) rings me up and says ‘Sam we don’t want you any more’ then I know I’m not wanted.
“It’s not about me asking for credit. It’s about me doing a job for Everton Football Club.”

There were a handful of boss from disgruntled Everton fans after the recent 3-1 defeat against Manchester City, with the club languishing in ninth spot.
But Allardyce has insisted he couldn’t have done more since being appointed at the end of November.

He added: “I personally don’t think I could have done much more with the staff I’ve got in the period of time I’ve been working here with these players who were in an extremely difficult position before I arrived.
“For instance, West Bromwich Albion were above us when I arrived. Look where we are now and look where West Brom are.”
His argument however is flawed considering the fact the Baggies were four spots and three points below Everton when he took the reigns on November 30.
