Gomez came off the bench in Friday’s 0-0 draw with Germany, replacing the crocked Phil Jones early on.
However, this will be the Reds youngster’s first-ever start for England’s senior set-up.
It will prove something of a baptism of fire for Gomez, who is set to line-up against the likes of Neymar and Gabriel Jesus at Wembley.
Gomez is set to be alongside John Stones and Harry Maguire in a back-three with Kyle Walker and Ryan Bertrand expect to play as wing-backs.
