THE England rugby sevens squads travel to the Gold Coast looking to come back with medals from the Commonwealth Games.
At the 2014 Games, South Africa were crowned champions of the men’s competition and it was the first time that New Zealand had been beaten since sevens was introduced to the Games in 1998.

England disappointed in Glasgow, going out in the quarter-finals, but performed excellently at the 2016 Olympics as Great Britain as they picked up a silver medal.
This Commonwealth Games will be the first time that women’s rugby sevens has featured as a sport.
