EIDUR GUDJOHNSEN enjoyed a tremendous footballing career, beloved by fans around the globe.
As well as Premier League champions Chelsea, the Icelandic forward had fruitful spells at PSV, Bolton, Barcelona, Monaco, Tottenham, Stoke and Fulham to name a few.

On top of all that, Gudjohnsen was part of Iceland‘s heroic Euro 2016 squad who toppled England to reach the quarter-finals, losing to finalists France.
The Gudjohnsen name had always carried weight on the Nordic island as Eidur’s father Arnor represented the nation for nearly two decades, earning 73 caps.
The family has no reason to be concerned their legacy will come to an end as Eidur retires… as his THREE sons are all making waves in the footballing world already.
Gudjohnsen has three boys – Sveinn Aron (19-years-old), Andri Lucas (15) and Daniel Tristan (11) – all of whom clearly take after their old man with a football.

For starters, eldest sibling Aron – a centre-forward – was on the books of Barcelona as a youth star.
He now plays for Icelandic side Valur Reykjavik and the Iceland Under-19s, having scored three times in just eight appearances for his country.
Sveinn Aron scored his first senior goal in the top flight of Icelandic football – the Urvalsdeild karla – just this month as he becomes accustomed to first-team action.

Then there’s Andri Lucas, currently also playing in Barcelona, for Espanyol’s youth side.
Also a forward, the middle son of Eidur is hoping to carry on his father’s legacy.
Last but not least, there’s youngest son Daniel Tristan, who arguably has the most potential of all three kids.

The 11-year-old is not only playing for Barcelona’s youth team, but he’s thriving.
Just last week, Daniel was voted the best player of the Cordial Cup tournament – won by Barca.
The competition is split into three age-ranges – Under-15s, Under-13s and Under-11s.
Young Gudjohnsen was named the best player of his Under-11 age-group throughout the entire competition.

Which is saying something, as in their group, Barcelona won 7-0, 10-0, 3-0 and 4-0, as well as a 0-0 draw as they topped Group E.
Barca then won 1-0, 3-0 and 3-1 en route to the final – another 3-1 win, against fellow European giants Bayern Munich.
While there is a long way to go for all three of the Gudjohnsen boys, one thing is clear.
The family name looks in good hands as it heads into an incredible third generation.
