US winger Ella Masar has agreed a four-year deal to continue playing her football in Sweden – to avoid Donald trump’s presidency.
Masar couldn’t stand the thought of returning to her homeland with the polarising figure of Trump running the country.

The 30-year-old also spoke of her delight in having a Canadian passport.
“[After the election] I actually went in to see Therese [Sjogran, sporting director of FC Rosengard] and asked to sign on for another four years at the club so I do not go back to the US with Donald Trump as president.
