After beating Dinamo Tbilisi and Salzburg to reach the group stage, Zagreb endured humiliation after humiliation with a pair of 1-0 defeats their best results.
They lost to French outfit Lyon 3-0 in their first game before Juventus smashed four past them in Turin.
A close defeat in Sevilla’s visit was followed by another four-goal rout in Spain, a narrow loss to Lyon and last night’s final straw.

Gonzalo Higuain broke the deadlock for the Italian champions before Daniele Rugani powered home a header.
The result left Dinamo with a minus 15 goal difference and presumably a few angry fans.
Thankfully domestic results have been better but the dominant side in Croatian football are in danger of losing an incredible streak of 11 league titles in a row.
