REFEREE Paul Tierney was the talk of Twitter after turning to his vanishing white spray at Wembley.
The man in the middle caused a stir on social media when marking a free-kick to Tottenham in the second half.

The pitch was covered in snow, and ref Tierney reached for the vanishing white spray that was clipped onto the back of his shorts.
BT Sport Commentator Ian Darke said: “What’s the point of the spray here from the referee? He can put that away.”
Tierney did appear to put the spray back, but not before it caused some amusement on social media.
Twitter users were adamant Tierney used the white spray to mark the dead-ball situation.

TV cameras cut away from the referee when the ball and defensive wall were being marked out.
It looked as if Tierney came to his senses and put the spray back, but try telling that to Twitter.
