Alli’s Spurs team-mate Harry Kane meanwhile, looked typically focused as he looks to continue his fine form from recent weeks.
After a dry August, Kane scored 13 times in all competitions in September, including a perfect hat-trick away to APOEL in the Champions League.

The England star also scored twice in games against Huddersfield, West Ham, Borussia Dortmund, Everton and Malta – in the World Cup qualifier on September 1.
Southgate’s Three Lions go into the game five points clear of Slovakia in the top spot of Group F – with six wins from their eight games.
However, the Slovakians sit just ONE point ahead of both Slovenia and Scotland – with all three clubs going into their penultimate group fixture with everything to play for.
England on the other hand have a much simpler task, knowing they need just one point to all-but qualify.
