DAVID SULLIVAN will abandon his seat in the West Ham directors’ box to prevent further aggro at the war-torn London Stadium.
The Hammers’ joint-chairman is being moved from the front row to a safe zone for today’s home clash with Southampton.

A Hammers insider said: “Mr Sullivan is upset about this.
“He is being moved to the back row from the front to avoid antagonising the supporters.
“It is a sad situation but he just wants the game to pass off peacefully so the team can do its best.”
Extra police and stewards will be on duty inside the stadium to avoid a repetition of trouble at the last home match against Burnley earlier this month.

Sullivan was struck by a coin hurled from a mob gathered below the VIP seats to protest against the running of the club and poor performances by the team.
Safety barriers have been erected to construct an ‘exclusion zone’ below where Sullivan and his fellow chairman David Gold normally sit.

It is claimed there were 40 assaults and 26 bids by fans to get on the pitch during the Burnley match.
London Mayor Sadiq Kahn later claimed the trouble was ‘mindless hooliganism’.
