Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke ‘does an Anichebe’ by tweeting PR’s caption after Hull win
CHRISTIAN BENTEKE appears to have slipped up on social media after posting PR’s caption which is thanking the support of the Crystal Palace fans.
The in-form forward scored in the Eagles’ 4-0 thrashing of Hull, which relegated the Tigers, but he made a pretty embarrassing mistake on social media after the game.
Christian Benteke was believed to have posted this message
According to the Telegraph he posted on Twitter and Instagram: “Caption:
“Great win today, a goal and another year @premierleague ! Thanks for the amazing support during the match! #CB17#jumpman.”
The error was quickly spotted and he deleted the word ‘Caption:’ as he thanked the fans for their support at Selhurst Park.
This mistake comes after Victor Anichebe’s howler on Twitter – which came after a last-minute defeat to West Ham.
In October, 2016, he posted a motivational and thankful tweet for the fans, but it backfired terribly.
He posted: “Can you tweet something like: ‘Unbelievable support yesterday and great effort by the lads! Hard result to take! But we go again!”

After guiding Crystal Palace to safety, after the victory over Hull, Eagles boss Sam Allardyce was ecstatic following their victory.
Allardyce told the BBC: “It’s always relief. The nervous tension was around the building today. For us to apply ourselves as we did, almost perfectly, was excellent.
“It’s four goals, a clean sheet and we were able to enjoy the last 15 minutes. It was a class performance. We completely nullified Hull’s possession.”
