ZINEDINE ZIDANE says he will not get involved in potential new talks between Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo over the star’s new contract.
The Bernabeu chief has also insisted that he will not be bringing in any new recruits before the end of the transfer window this month.
Ronaldo’s future has again been the subject of speculation again this summer after his frustrations with the Spanish tax authorities and La Liga’s referees.
Reports suggested this week that the 32-year-old Portugal forward has asked for a bumper pay rise this week.
And Madrid captain Sergio Ramos backed his team-mate by saying that “the best players in the world should be the best paid.”
However, Zidane has refused to give his opinion on the matter but stated Ronaldo is happy with life in the Spanish capital.
Zidane said: “Money questions are not for me.
“I can talk about the game, how we will play, well not that either [laughs].

“But this is an issue for Cristiano and the club, not for me. There has been a lot of talk, but Cristiano is here, and is not leaving.
“This is his club, his team, his city. He is delighted with everything he has here. I have no doubts.”
And on potential new recruits, the Madrid manager added: “I am happy with the team I have and the squad I have at the moment.
“I do not want anybody. We are ready.”
