However, reported broken promises from owner, Peter Lim, over funds to be made available in January saw the former Roma and Italy manager stand down after just ten matches in charge.
Voro, who has been caretaker manager of Valencia on five occasions, is tasked with keeping the club in the top flight.
He was in charge for the 1-1 draw against Barcelona, immediately before the appointment of Gary Neville last season.

While, in 2008, he guided the club to Copa del Rey success following the mid-season sacking of Ronald Koeman.
Valencia director, Jesus Garcia Pitarch told MARCA: “Voro will now take over the team, training and preparing them in the best way.
“We aren’t looking for a coach and I haven’t proposed one.
“We will now listen to Voro. The sporting and transfer decisions are made by three people — Lim, the coach and the sporting director.”
