CONOR MCGREGOR vs Floyd Mayweather has sold over £40million at the box office, with promoters believing it could hit £55m.
There have been murmurings in recent weeks that ticket sales had slowed up.

But Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe has scoffed at this suggestion, insisting tickets are gold-dust for the mega-fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Speaking at Floyd Mayweather’s workout, Ellerbe said: “Right now, we have over $60 million (£40m) in the box office.
“And you tell me, what part of that remotely looks like ticket sales are slow?
“This isn’t a damn Rolling Stones concert. That’s the only thing that sells out in seconds.
“When you are talking about tickets going from $500 to $10,000, (£3,850 to (£7,700) that’s an expensive ticket.
“So you have every CEO from every major company. You know, guys, it takes time to plan and get it together.”

Yesterday evening (Thursday), a general search for two tickets on Ticketmaster’s website showed 536 pairs available, ranging anywhere between £1,300 to £27,000 per ticket.
And with thousands of seats still available, and the fight two weeks away, some believe the next sporting event that will sell out in that venue will be a Vegas Golden Knights game, when the newest NHL expansion team opens the 2017-18 season.
Critics also believe with some second-tier seats carrying a five-figure price tag, the pay-per-view fee of $99.95 (£68.50) for those living in the US seems like a bargain.

Ellerbe added: "We're going to blow past our own record of $72 million (£55m); this fight is massive."
Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao's "fight of the century" saw live gate receipts produce more than £54.5m in revenue at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
This easily surpassed the previous live gate record of £15.4m for Mayweather vs Canelo Avarez.
Mayweather reiterated Ellerbe's thoughts.
The Money added: "We're doing crazy numbers, forget what you all (are) hearing. We're doing crazy numbers.
"Our fight is doing unbelievable numbers. The pay-per-view numbers are going to be unbelievable and we will have a sold-out crowd. I'm not worried about that."
