Conor McGregor could be set to fight Georges St-Pierre in blockbuster UFC clash

FRESH off his enthralling victory over Brit Michael Bisping to claim the UFC middleweight title, Georges St-Pierre is looking ahead to his next big fight.

That may come against UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, in what would be one of the biggest fights the UFC has seen.

Talking of a possible match up with McGregor, St-Pierre said he wouldn’t say no to fighting the two-weight champ, but he has to see what the best option is.

St-Pierre told TMZ Sports: “I don’t know – the night of the fight weigh 191 pound, I woke up in the morning, I was 191 pounds.

“During the training camp I was about 197 but when I went down to 185 I couldn’t put my weight back up – it’s like my body crash and it couldn’t go higher than 191-192.

“I don’t know what weight Conor is, there’s a lot of interrogation – a lot of question marks and I don’t know what’s going to happen next.

“It’s up to the UFC, they know what is best for the company. I’m not saying no to nothing, I just don’t know – I’ll look at the options and I’ll see what’s best.”

UFC president Dana White recently said he isn’t writing off the idea of the possible match up, saying: “Listen, I’ll never say never but [GSP] weighs 185 and Conor weighs 155.”

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since last year, claiming the lightweight belt with his win over Eddie Alvarez.

The Notorious could be back in the octagon as early as next month, to make a spectacular return for UFC 219 in December.
