The Irish fighter was once again the star of the show in front of a pro-McGregor crowd, and even threw an Irish flag at his opponent on August 26.

After hotfooting it from Los Angeles where they held their first press conference on Tuesday, Mayweather and McGregor were once again loud, brash and in each other’s faces.

Mayweather turned up late to delay proceedings before the verbal sparring continued.

McGregor recalled his visit to Toronto two years ago prior to fighting Jose Aldo in UFC.

The 28-year-old said: “I was in Toronto two years ago also on a world tour before the Jose Aldo fight.

“They said the same thing then they’re saying now, that the Irish man doesn’t have a hope. It took me 13 seconds (to beat Aldo).

“All the boxing experts, you’re f***ing crazy if you think this man has a chance.

“His head is too small. I bounce heads off a canvas, he tip toes to a decision. He’s a runner, he’s boxing’s biggest b****.”

The subject once again turned to Mayweather’s dress, with McGregor saying he was dressed like a 12-year-old schoolboy but that he couldn’t read.

Mayweather’s response was that he knows numbers and makes money.

The American boxer said: “I don’t quit, I don’t fold under pressure. I’m the best and I know I’m the best.”

Tensions almost boiled over a number of times in the face offs, and also when Mayweather grabbed an Irish flag from the crowd.

That was enough to get McGregor up off his chair, and his response was to take Mayweather’s rucksack full of money, which he claimed only had “about five grand” in there.

Toronto rapper Drake was also in attendance, and he met McGregor backstage before the press conference.

McGregor quoted a Drake song on stage to describe his career – “started from the bottom now we’re here”.

The pair head to New York on Thursday before their press tour ends at Wembley Arena in London on Friday night.
