DANA WHITE has come up with a plan to stop touts lining their pockets on tickets for the Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor fight – and it won’t go down well with fighters.
UFC president Dana White has said everyone has to buy their own tickets to stop “shady things” from happening – and the prices flying through the ceiling.

That includes himself, Mayweather and McGregor.
White is keen to avoid a situation where people close to both camps get hold of cheap or free tickets and end up touting them.
While he did not provide any proof anyone connected with Manny Pacquiao or Mayweather has lined their pockets on stubs, he wants to make sure underhand profiteering does not happen.
White told ESPN: “There are a lot of shady things that can go on with tickets.
“If the tickets aren’t expensive enough, it’s like what happened with the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. It was a complete disaster.
“You don’t only hurt yourself, you hurt the fight and you hurt the city of Las Vegas.”

The lowest-priced tickets were £383, plus booking fees – but those are sold out – while the most expensive come out at £19,160, with plenty priced at somewhere in between.
At the time of publication the cheapest tickets available are £1,991.73.
There is also a limit of two tickets per household for the T-Mobile Arena bout for fans buying through Ticketmaster.
The venue has a capacity of 20,000 after being opened last year and the August 26 fight will be the biggest in the venue so far.
White, 47, added: “When the fight is going to make enough money, you don’t have to go around and sell the tickets to brokers to try and make even more money.

“Now you’re hurting the fans, you’re hurting the city of Las Vegas and you’re hurting the event in the long-run, in my opinion.
“So I wanted everybody to buy their own tickets.
“I’m buying my own tickets, UFC are buying their own tickets, Floyd is buying, Conor is buying, Al Haymon is buying, everybody is paying for their own tickets to keep that from happening.”
