Cologne supporters branded ‘disgraceful’ by ITV’s Robert Peston after making ‘Nazi salutes’ and ‘peeing in doorways’

COLOGNE fans have been branded ‘disgraceful’ after allegedly making Nazi salutes and ‘peeing in doorways’ this evening.

ITV’s Robert Peston made the extraordinary claims on a bizarre night which saw Arsenal’s Europa League clash against the Germans delayed by a whole hour.

20,000 Cologne fans brought central London to a standstill this afternoon as they slogged their way towards the Emirates.

But things soon went spiralling out of control as the supporters forced their way into the stadium, taking over most of the lower stand despite only being allocated 2,900 tickets.

Cologne also took an early lead in north London to add to Arsenal’s woes.

And after fighting stewards before kick-off, the German fans have done little to warrant a good reputation.

A heavy day of drinking and a lack of public toilets on the capital’s streets appears to have resulted in a lot of rogue urine appearing against walls and doorways.

But more worryingly, it seems some have taken it upon themselves to parade around making offensive Nazi salutes.

Newsreader Peston tweeted: "These Cologne fans are a disgrace. Nazi salutes. Peeing in doorsteps. My European solidarity is being tested."

Arsenal fans who sold their tickets to the said German supporters could also find themselves in a lot of hot water.

Those who effectively helped allow the horde into the Emirates may find their season tickets being rescinded for the remainder of the campaign.
