Chris Froome warns rivals they’re running out of time to stop him clocking up a stunning Vuelta a Espana and Tour de France double
CHRIS FROOME warned his rivals time is running out for them to deny him Vuelta a Espana glory.
The Team Sky ace looks unbeatable as he bids for a Grand Tour double and could all but seal the red jersey in today’s individual time trial.

Froome, 32, goes into the 25-mile test from Circuito de Navarra to Logrono 61sec clear of Italy’s Vincenzo Nibali.
But he could double that given his superiority racing against the clock.
“I will be aiming to put as much time into my rivals as possible. There are still a few hard days to come in the mountains but I am really happy to be in this position.”
Froome will also keep an eye on Colombia’s Miguel Angel Lopez, whose victory in Sunday’s 15th stage took him to sixth but 2min 51sec down.
The Monaco-based Brit added: “We’re focused on Nibali as he is second. But if Lopez continues like this we are going to have to respond to his attacks.”
