CHRIS FROOME insists the controversy surrounding Team Sky will not derail his plans for a fourth Tour De France crown.
The team are under-fire for using sicknotes to allow Bradley Wiggins to take a banned corticosteroid before three major races, including his 2012 Tour win.

And they are also under investigation over the contents of a jiffy bag that was delivered to the team before Wiggins won a race in France in 2011.
Froome has admitted there are still questions to answer over their use of Therapeutic Use Exemptions, but insists his only focus is on defending his yellow jersey.

The Monaco-based ace, 31, said: “It wasn’t really discussed at the recent team camp and obviously it’s an ongoing investigation.
“I think everyone on the team is just looking ahead and planning and whatever is found in the investigation puts to rest any uncertainty there.”

The use of TUE’s to take otherwise banned drugs and Sky’s refusal to reveal the contents of the jiffy bag has put question marks over the future of boss Dave Brailsford.

But Froome says he still sees his long-term future at the team which has helped him to three Tour de France crowns in four years.
Froome, contracted until the end of 2018, said: “It’s a good fit.
“It’s a British team and I love the way in which the team works, the support structure, and the work ethic.
“Between the rides now we’ve got such a close-knit group and I’d find it hard to imagine being on another team.

“Having said that I’ll have to see where I am in two years time but I’ve done seven years with the team now and I hope to continue.”
Froome is likely to open his season by defending his Herald Sun Tour crown in Australia in February and is considering the Tour of Yorkshire in April 28.
But his main focus will be the Tour in July and possibly another crack at the Vuelta a Espana which would rule out the Giro d’Italia in May.
