CHRIS EUBANK JR was slammed as “shameful” for his sick tweet after Kell Brook’s brutal stoppage.
Eubank’s “My corner don’t own towels” jibe came minutes after Gennady Golovkin’s win and promoter Barry Hearn raged: “Possibly the most ignorant comment I have ever read on social media. Shameful.”

Brook suffered a horrific broken eye socket in his world-title defeat at the O2 on Saturday and his corner threw in the towel to prevent serious injury.
Hearn is the chairman and founder of Matchroom Sport, who yesterday posted a photo of Brook’s scan on their Twitter boxing account.
It showed the break and confirmed the Sheffield fighter will undergo surgery in his home city today.
Brook, 30, defended trainer Dominic Ingle’s actions, admitting he could not see properly for four rounds.
And Eubank Jr’s post-fight tweet to Golovkin got an immediate backlash. His full comment read: “If you want a fight with a real British middleweight… come get some. My corner don’t own towels.”
Eubank, who pulled out of a proposed fight with middleweight monster Golovkin before world welterweight champ Brook jumped two divisions to step in, was branded “a muppet” and a “f***ing clown” by boxing fans on social media.

Former IBF world middleweight champ Darren Barker wrote: “Bore off bottle job”.
While Irish journeyman boxer Peter McDonagh added: “He says he’s got no towel in the corner — maybe they don’t own a pen either. #noballs.”
Eubank Jr’s comments were in even poorer taste given that Nick Blackwell suffered bleeding on the skull and spent a week in a coma following his British title clash with the Brighton fighter back in March.
Blackwell, 25, had to retire after his left eye was grotesquely swollen from numerous uppercuts in a bout ended on advice of the ringside doctor.

Team Eubank stressed Blackwell’s career may not have been cut short had he been pulled out earlier.
At the time, Eubank’s dad Chris Sr still admitted he would pull his son out of a fight if he was being battered.
He said: “If he was, yes, I would have the fight stopped — he would never forgive me but I would pull him out.”
