The CSL have been spending fortunes on the likes of Oscar for £60million and dishing out £350,000-a-week to Carlos Tevez making him the world’s best paid player.

And it appears they remain insistent on feeding their stars the finer delicacies in life, after Misimovic admitted the pre-match meals on offer.

Speaking to Goal he said: “You can’t compare the food to Chinese restaurants [in Germany]. It’s not exactly top-notch nutrition. For example, we ate lobster and carbohydrates before matches.

“Everything is different. The mentality, the organisation – and especially the food.”

Meanwhile Chelsea skipper John Terry has refused to rule out becoming the latest Premier League player to make the switch to China.

Terry is out of contract in the summer and looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge having lost his place under Antonio Conte.

When asked whether he would consider moving to the Far East, he said: “I’m not sure. For me, I want to stay at Chelsea.”
