CHELSEA have agreed to sign Portuguese goalkeeper Eduardo from Dinamo Zagreb, according to the Croatian club’s boss.
Zlatko Kranjcar revealed on Thursday morning that his 33-year-old ‘keeper is bound for the Premier League where he will support first-choice stopper Thibaut Courtois.

When asked if he was on the cusp of losing his No1 to Chelsea, the father of former Tottenham midfielder Niko said: “I think so.
“Eduardo has been given an amazing opportunity to leave for a big club like Chelsea.
“With his arrival we gained security in our team.
Since my time at the club he has defended his goal very well. Very impressive.
“But the situation is that he is leaving, may he have all the good luck in the big club.”

The well-travelled stopper is unlikely to rival the giant Belgian but will be a suitable back-up.
It could also be a precursor for Asmir Begovic leaving Stamford Bridge in search of more first-team action.
