WILLIAN has lifted the lid on his surprise move to Chelsea in 2013.
The Brazilian midfielder looked nailed on for a move to Tottenham from Shakhtar Donetsk but ended up signing for the south Londoners instead.
Willian, 28, has confirmed he had an offer from White Hart Lane.

But speaking to Chelsea’s Youtube channel, he doesn’t sound too disappointed about the way things have worked out.
He said: “I don’t know how I can explain that moment. But it was the best moment I think in my life when I signed with Chelsea because it was my dream to come here.

Willian went on to explain it was tough to move to the Blues instead of Tottenham, adding: “Yes, it was difficult, but I didn’t sign.
“When at the last moment Chelsea call me I say I’m sorry but I go to Chelsea, that’s my dream.”
The Samba star was easily Chelsea’s player of the year last season after scoring several spectacular free-kicks in a generally disappointing campaign for the club.
He remains a fans’ favourite but, after struggling to win a place in Antonio Conte’s side, he was linked with a move to Manchester United for a reunion with old boss Jose Mourinho.
