Chelsea star Pedro scores Goal of the Season contender as hosts take the lead against Watford in truly spectacular fashion

PEDRO scored a genuine Goal of the Season contender as Chelsea took an early lead against Watford in spectacular fashion.

The Spanish forward, 30, struck a stunning, curling, first-time effort from 25 yards that struck the inside of the post and rocketed in.

Having lost the last two Premier League games in a row – against Manchester City and Crystal Palace – Antonio Conte’s men got on the front foot early.

After earning a somewhat dubious corner, the ball fell to Pedro – who made no mistake from long-distance.

The ball appeared to be curling too much and looked as though it might sneak wide.

Hopefully it clattered into the far post and ricocheted into the back of the net, sending the home fans into raptures.

The strike saw Chelsea fans smother the Spaniard with praise – with many suggesting he should be starting every game… ahead of Willian.
