NEWCASTLE are on the brink of landing their first signing of the transfer window in Chelsea’s Kenedy.
The Brazilian winger was in North East on Monday night to seal his loan move until the end of the season.

Blues boss Antonio Conte gave the green light for the youngster to gain some rare Premier League experience.
The 21-year-old has made just five league starts since his move to Stamford Bridge in August 2015 but has yet to feature this campaign.
It will come as a massive boost for Toon boss Rafa Benitez who has been desperate to bolster his beleaguered squad this month.
But Benitez still wants at least another two new arrivals with a striker his priority in a bid to beat the drop.

Kenedy will give the Toon options on the left-hand side both in defence and attack.
And Chelsea are ready to replace him with Roma’s left-back Emerson Palmieri.

Conte is believed to have had agreed a fee for the 23-year-old in the region of £20million.
Palmieri has managed just 16 minutes of league football in Serie A this campaign and will provide cover for Marcos Alonso.
