CHELSEA have been dealt a blow as skipper John Terry will be out for three weeks with injury.
Blues boss Antonio Conte has revealed the 35-year-old who featured for the club’s Under-23 side this week is out with a muscular injury.

Conte revealed at his weekly media conference Terry will be out for around a month after suffering a gluteus muscle injury in training.
The club captain will now miss the crunch London derby against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

It’s the second time the veteran defender has been out injured this season, Terry suffered ankle ligament damage in the Blues 2-2 draw at Swansea in September, however the team have rallied in his absence winning six straight Premier League games without conceding a goal.

Conte said “It’s important for John to recover from his injury, then start with good training sessions. It’s a pity because he had recovered very well from his last injury, and now he needs to stop again”
“I’m not sure whether the injury was during the Under 23 game, or the day after, it’s not important. It’s bad news.” Conte added.

The Blues boss also gave an update on the progress of defender Kurt Zouma return to fitness.
The French international has been out of action since suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in February.
The 21-year-old stopper played 45 minutes for Chelsea’s second string this week alongside Terry as he steps up his return to full fitness.
“He started to train with us then he stopped. He is now playing, with the youth league. It’s important for him to find good form, to grow into the idea of our football, then to come back and have the possibility to play with the first team. I see, day by day, great improvement with Kurt.”
