CHELSEA look like dead-certs to beat Liverpool in Saturday’s huge Premier League game… thanks to the Champions League.
In the past five seasons, the Reds have won just 30 per cent of games immediately after turning out in Europe’s top competition.

That measly record is the WORST of all Premier League sides – and the only win record to sit below 50 per cent, according to SmartBets.
Liverpool stormed to a 3-0 lead over Sevilla in Spain on Tuesday, only to throw it all away in an horrific second-half, including conceding a 94th-minute equaliser.
With Jurgen Klopp’s troops already down, it looks like Chelsea could be ready to take a few kicks at them.
After all, the Blues – fresh from their 4-0 victory away to Qarabag this week – boast a much stronger record – winning 53.3 per cent of all games following a European night.

Arsenal, who failed to qualify for this season’s Champions League for the first time in 20 years, actually boast the best post-European win-rate.
The Gunners have won an incredible 19 of their 30 matches – for a win percentage of a a sky-high 63.3.
Meanwhile, Leicester – who have just one Champions League campaign under their belt – boast the second-best tally.
The Foxes have won 55.6 per cent of all Premier League games coming in off the back of a European encounter, level with Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola’s side have won 21 of those clashes, for a win rate of 55.3 per cent – Tottenham just behind them on 50 per cent.

No other side sits below 1.8 points per outing, with Arsenal again top of the pile at 2.07.
The Reds’ opponents on Saturday, Chelsea, have the third-best points per game tally, at 1.9 following a Champions League evening.
