CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte put the breaks on Paris Saint-Germain’s last minute bid to sign striker Diego Costa, according to reports.
France Football magazine have reported that the Ligue 1 champions launched their ambitious operation to land the Spanish international in the final hours of deadline day after David Luiz‘s dramatic £34 million exit.

The French club had hoped that Costa would fill the boots of the departing Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had by that stage already penned a move to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Chelsea’s board were apparently open to thrashing out a deal with the Parc des Princes based outfit but the discussions were quickly quashed by Conte.
Costa had previously suggested that he quite fancied returning to Atletico Madrid this summer after showing signs of feeling unsettled in London last season, scoring only 12 goals in 28 appearances.
