CHELSEA and Arsenal are on red alert to swoop for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata bagged 27 goals in 93 appearances for Juventus before his return to Real Madrid this summer when then the Spanish giants activated a £23m buy-back clause following his sale to the Turin giants in 2014.

There was huge speculation after Euro 2016 the Spanish international would be bought back by Real Madrid, then sold on by President Florntino Perez for a profit to a Premier League outfit with Chelsea leading at the front of the queue for his signature.

Morata, 23 admitted he was tracked by Chelsea managed by his former Juve boss Antonio Conte before deciding to move back to Spain.

Real Madrid had made assurances to the striker he would get sufficient game time this season. However Morata is back where he started before his move to Italy, playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
If Morata does get itchy feet and starts demanding more opportunities, Chelsea and Arsenal could go head to head in January for his services.
