Celtic fans hit out after fellow supporters hang sex dolls with Rangers scarves from stands

OUTRAGED Celtic fans have blasted fellow supporters after sex dolls with Rangers scarves were seen hanging from the stands at yesterday’s Old Firm clash.

Photos of the dolls with their hands tied behind their backs appeared on social media following the match – which the Hoops won 5-1.

The snaps also sparked dismay as yesterday was World Suicide Prevention Day.

One Twitter user said: “Shameful. Always a minority that take it too far.”

Another added: “The Celtic fans that thought the ‘hanging dolls’ with scarfs on was a good idea really need to take a right good look in the mirror. #Disgusting.”

A fellow user posted: “I think 90 per cent of Celtic fans are disgraced at those who put up the hanging dolls. Too far and unnecessary. Let the football do the talking.”

Some Rangers fans were furious that the dolls display came just days after Rangers legend Kris Boyd’s brother Scott took his own life.

But today Celtic insiders insisted it had absolutely nothing to do with that.

Police said they had not received any complaints surrounding the dolls.

However, a spokeswoman said: “Officers are continuing to monitor social media posts and may take action if criminality is established.”

However, after the game it was Rangers fans who were at the centre of chaos.

They caused extensive damage to a toilet block in the away end with doors being pulled off hinges and ceiling tiles ripped down.
