OLDHAM ATHLETIC have failed to pay their players and staff for September and a pay-day does not appear imminent.
Cash-strapped Oldham are urgently seeking new investment but with their owner Simon Corney believed to be in America, the situation may not be rectified as soon as the staff hope.

This is the third time since 2011 that the club have failed to pay their staff wages and is the final nail in the coffin for the team who have had a turbulent start to the season.
The club have confirmed the situation but have advised that they are working to resolve the situation as a matter of urgency.
According to the Manchester Evening News, staff at the cash-strapped club fear for its financial state.
It is reported that club bosses refuse to discuss the situation with staff, but there are rumours circulating of a cash injection from Moroccan businessman Abdallah Lemsagam.
The team currently sit in 18th place after a rocky start to the season, but have won three games since caretaker manager Richie Wellens took charge.
Wellens has openly said that he would like the job on a full-time basis but he may now be facing a more difficult situation in keeping players and staff motivated without pay.

Oldham have had a turbulent start to the season with their managers too, John Sheridan was sacked in September following their 5-1 humiliation to Rotherham.
Sheridan saved the side from relegation when he returned, but a chaotic few months cost him the managerial job.
