MARVIN SORDELL denied his former boss Tony Mowbray a first game win as Blackburn boss with a wonder goal at the Pirelli Stadium.
The striker netted for the first time in 10 games for the Brewers after signing a short term contract last month to cancel out Matty Palmer’s own goal.

Mowbray had signed Sordell last summer when Coventry boss but only worked with him for two months before quitting.
Sordell followed him out of the Ricoh Arena last month and he rescued Nigel Clough’s side with a stunning 25 yard strike.
It also silenced the Rovers fans who had taunted the one-time Burnley player.
And a share of the spoils moved the Brewers six points clear of the bottom three.
Mowbray was appointed just 24 hours after the sacking of Owen Coyle – the seventh permanent manager in just six and and a half years under the Venky’s.
Rovers looked keen to impress their new boss and it was one-way traffic towards the Brewers goal in the opening 45 minutes.

But their fans still took a swipe at the previous regime with chants of “Owen Coyle, you’re a w—–” Rovers winger Liam Feeney caused problems down the flank and one cross was turned by Brewers defender John Mousinho towards his goal.
