The 25-year-old and another man attacked a 35-year-old in a car park near a casino after a Champions League qualifying clash between Serbia’s Partizan Belgrade and Bulgaria’s Ludogorets.

According to Yahoo, the victim took a fatal hit to the head during the incident that happened in 2013.

Baldzhiyski, who featured for Bulgaria’s under-21 team, was immediately sacked by his club Slavia Sofia as he faced 20-years in jail.

Bizarrely seven-time Bulgarian champions Slavia resigned the midfielder in February after he had other stints with clubs around the country.

Baldzhiyski received a mild punishment because the court described it as "murder by negligence."

The report claims that Baldzhiyski also has to play the victim's family £43,800 in compensation.
