PLAY-OFF hopefuls Aston Villa suffered another setback with a second loss within five days.
After going down to QPR in midweek, Adam Le Fondre’s 20th minute goal did for Steve Bruce’s men at the Macron.

Bolton took the lead after 20 minutes when Le Fondre tapped the ball home following a cheeky backheel from Darren Pratley.
Sammy Ameobi’s corner towards the near post was never dealt with by the dithering Villa back markers and Le Fondre made them pay.
Bolton were just as delighted with Jon Flanagan.
For when Villa midfielder Jack Grealish lifted a smashing 80th minute pass to West Ham loanee Robert Snodgrass, his cross was sent perfectly into the path of Scott Hogan.

He unleashed a first time shot that Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick couldn’t stop completely.
But Flanagan managed to position himself in just the right spot to throw his body in the way and divert the ball back into the arms of Alnwick.

And with just seconds left Alnwick made a brilliant save to keep Bolton ahead.
James Bree’s diving header was heading for the far corner, but Alnwick changed direction and sprang to his left to palm the ball to safety.
