IT may be a time of celebration for Blackpool following their promotion back to League One, but it isn’t for ten of their players.
Only days after a 2-1 victory against Exeter in the League Two play-off final at Wembley, the club have announced they are to release TEN players.

New contracts have only been offered to TWO, while three loan players – Neil Danns, Jordan Flores and Sanmi Odelusi, will return to their parent clubs.
Ian Black, Henry Cameron, Luke Higham, John Herron, Dean Lyness, Eddie Nolan, Jack Payne, Jack Redshaw and Macauley Wilson will all be scrambling around for new clubs for 2017/18.
And although number one keeper Sam Slocombe is also on that list, the club remains in discussions with the 28-year-old.
Seasiders’ captain Tom Aldred has been offered a new contract, as has former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso.

Though Oyston will have to go significantly further than securing a promotion to League One to win back the majority of supporters – if indeed that is at all possible.
