Radamel Falcao had a goal ruled out for a tight offside decision as Monaco crashed to a 3-0 defeat to their big rivals.

And PSG also scored from a penalty awarded after a lengthy review when ref Clement Turpin changed his mind about pointing to the spot, only to revert to his original decision after checking the video.

Lizarazu was unhappy at the way supporters in the stadium after left clueless about what is going on because of the time it takes to make a ruling.

And the man who won a world cup with France in 1998 and the Champions League with Bayern Munich says he is struggling to enjoy the growing use of technology in football.

Speaking in his role as pundit with Telefoot, Lizarazu said: “VAR is a little like sex without pleasure.

“At the time of the fireworks, you are told to stop, that’s how I felt in the stadium.

“Monaco fans are excited about Falcao’s goal, they are very happy and then we have to stop everything. It’s terrible, it’s very frustrating.

“The fans do not participate in anything, it’s as if you’re not important. The supporter wants to participate in the show, but we are denied that.

“We have to use the video better. It has to be explained to everyone, in the stadium and on television. We’re taking part in the same show.”

The game is rolling out the use of VAR across the world, and there have been teething problems experienced in many countries.

Fifa have given the go-ahead for the use of video replays at the World Cup this summer despite problems seen over the past year.

The Premier League have yet to decide whether they will implement VAR from the start of next season, with concerns about the delay to matches while officials take time to make decisions.
