BIRMINGHAM CITY have appointed Garry Monk in their bid to beat the drop.
The Championship strugglers sacked Steve Cotterill on Saturday following their 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

The Blues board finally lost patience with Cotterill following their sixth defeat in a row in all competitions to leave them in the relegation zone with 11 matches left to play.
And after extensive talks over the weekend, they have opted for the former Leeds, Middlesbrough and Swansea manager to guide them to safety.
The 38-year-old signs on a three-and-a-half year contract st St Andrews.
Monk will be joined by assistant Pep Clotet, first team coach James Beattie and goalkeeper coach Darryl Flahavan.
