Despite his injury hell, Vunipola said: “I had three months where I had the time of my life.
“I had some good fun, met a lot of people and socialised a lot – now I just have to turn it down a bit. I’ve just been socialising and a doing a lot of chilling.
“I think I went in the chryo chamber once, maybe twice because I had to. I just tried to stear clear. Every time they told me to go in, I took all my kit off, stood around for a bit and pretended like I had been in – changed then went home.
“It’s nice to be back in the mix. A lot of people when they are away from the game they don’t miss mauling and don’t miss scrummaging, but I think I did.”

Tony Adams: Arsene Wenger changed time of training to suit Ian Wright because he hated confrontation
After trucking it up and turning on the style in 72 minutes of action on his Saracens comeback Vunipola was gutted that his boss Mark McCall didn’t let him go the full 80.
The 24-year-old said: “It was good. I’m not sure why they took me off but that’s the coaches’ decision. I’m just looking forward to my fish and chips. I’ve waited a long time.
“I feel good. If Eddie wants me to play, I know that training’s tough, and he’s always said that his training will get you prepared for a game. If he wants me to go, I’ll train, and I’ll be fine.”

He even showed his class by picking out his brother Mako with a plumb pass to set-up Michael Rhodes’ first score in the Premiership champions’ 35-27 bonus-point win at Kingston Park.
Vunipola junior added: “I’ve been doing a lot of different stuff to keep me sane.
“When you’re in the gym the whole time it can drive you crazy. Especially when you’re with someone with Alex Goode who can talk non-stop.
“He drove me up the wall so any chance I could get out and do some skills and stay on top of things I did that as much as I could.”
After watching fit-again Vunipola pick apart his Falcons side former England no.8 Dean Richards said: “Billy is incredibly strong and on his day the best in the world. No one in world rugby can touch him and he had an impact on the game.”
