BAYERN MUNICH are ready to throw a spanner in the works, by trying to sign Tottenham defender Kyle Walker ahead of Manchester City.
Right-back Walker has been linked with an exit due to a growing rift with Mauricio Pochettino.

He was dropped for the North London derby and FA Cup semi-final, with Kieran Trippier taking his place.
However, the 27-year-old signed a five-year contract worth £65,000 per week in September, leaving Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in a strong bargaining position if City or the Bundesliga champions make an approach.
The Daily Express claim City boss Pep Guardiola is to step up his interest in the England international with an offer to Spurs imminently.
But the Bundesliga giants are also prepared to sign the £45million rated star, as a potential replacement for Phillip Lahm who hung up his boots this summer.
Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti wants the former Sheffield United man to replicate Lahm’s ability to raid up and down the right flank.

Losing Walker will be seen as a huge blow to Guardiola, and his plans to reshape his squad following the departures of Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy.
Pep is becoming increasingly frustrated with attempts to sign Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy.

The Ligue 1 champions have increased their valuation of the French international to £40m, and now there is a real danger Guardiola may have to look at alternatives to fill his left-back vacancy.
