The 29-year-old has 19 goals in 20 appearances for club and country this season.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild, he said: “This season it’s really hard for me.
“I have played for Bayern and the national team every three days from the beginning.
“But no player can play 90 minutes in every game of a season.”

And it may be taking its toll, with Lewandowski suffering a minor injury in the first half of Saturday’s 2-0 win over Red Bull Leipzig.
But the forward insisted his withdrawal was merely precautionary and hopes to return for Bayern’s Champions League tie against Celtic.
“For me, Glasgow is just as important as the next Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund. We have to win,” he said.
“I didn’t want to take any risks on Saturday – it felt like cramp. It isn’t too bad.”
