JAMES RODRIGUEZ insists he has nothing to prove to Real Madrid but won’t celebrate if he knocks them out of the Champions League tomorrow night.
The £63million Colombian international is currently on a year’s loan at Bayern Munich after falling out of favour with Bernabeu boss Zinedine Zidane.

And he is determined to make the most of his return to the big-time after failing to even get on the subs’ bench for last season’s Champions League final against Juventus.
Rodriguez, 26, says: “It’s exactly one year since I last played at the Bernabeu and it’s beautiful to come back to a place I used to call my home.
“I have nothing to prove to Madrid and I don’t have any ill feelings towards Zidane. I’m not looking to prove anyone wrong, but I still want to help Bayern beat Real tomorrow and reach the final.
“I was treated very well during my time in Madrid and basically won everything there was to win.

“So out of respect for all of these people who used to be my team-mates, I won’t celebrate if I score tomorrow.”
Rodriguez still has another two years of his Real contract to run but clearly hopes that Bayern will make his move permanent in the summer.
REAL DEAL Ramos says Madrid landing Champions League treble would beat Barca’s double
He says: “Whenever I was given the chance by Real, I always performed well, scored goals and showed what I can do. But after my first year I played in fewer games and didn’t have as many opportunities to do better.
“No-one is to blame for that, it’s nobody’s fault. But I am very happy at Bayern and now we need to seize the chances we had in the first leg against Real Madrid but didn’t convert.”
