Coman, who plays for Bayern Munich, accepted the charges that were brought against him following the incident in a Parisian suburb earlier this year.
He was taken into custody in June after two subsequent assaults on the mother of his 18-month old child at her home in Magny-le-Hongre.
His former partner, and victim of the assault, is a model who was seen supporting Coman during France’s campaign at Euro 2016.
Coman was absent from training with Bayern on Thursday, in order to attend court in his native country.
The winger accepted the charges, but refused to make a statement following his court appearance.
It is not yet known if Coman will be punished by Bayern Munich for the attack.
