According to reports in Germany, the Bundesliga giants are prepared to spend a fortune on the attacking midfielder, who has lit up Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.

And in Europe he helped end Manchester City’s run in the competition with a couple of eye-catching performances against Pep Guardiola’s frail defence.
The versatile playmaker has worked down both flanks this season – and also tucked in behind the striker. He could slot into any top squad with ease.
Silva has followed a number of high-profile Portugal stars to the tiny French principality thanks to super-agent Jorge Mendes’ ties to the club.

Joao Moutinho is currently playing alongside Silva and last season had fellow Portugal stars Ricardo Carvalho and Fabio Coentrao alongside him.
Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti has a busy summer ahead of him, rebuilding a squad that will lose retiring star Xabi Alonso at the end of the season.
Bayern’s plan to lure Silva to Germany could be boosted by their 19-year-old midfielder Renato Sanches, if he can sell the club to his international team-mate.
Silva and Sanches both came through the ranks at Benfica before their big-money moves away.
In March, when asked about links with Chelsea and Jose Mourinho’s side, Silva said: “I have no idea if it’s true or not.
“Of course it’s nice to be associated with that kind of club but I haven’t thought a lot about it.
“One day I would like to play in England or Spain, in one of the best leagues in the world, but for now I’m very happy here.”
